The arches in the open airtunnels

The ProjectsPointThe first operative phase ,started on different levels, which saw thestudents recuperating the constructions.

The old greens tunnels werereconverted for open air chicken breeding.

Then we went on to the reproductive research, some were donated by Fabrizio Focardi, and tothe group formation.

In the spring of 2003 the eggincubation started with the bird of our chicks.

Unfortunately in June 2003 theproject stopped abruptly: A violent hail stormdestroyed the Agrario henhouse damagingvary plants and part of the structure.

Many chicks died ( more then a hundred ), witha great genetic patrimony lost.

A real disaster!

While continuing the every day work with theanimals (feeding , vaccinations, cleaning, etc.).

New structures were being projected. Inparticular two new big arches were made inwood with a Plexiglas covering for the care ofmore than a hundred simples.

More than a hundred chicks are already bornand the bigger ones (round about five to sixweeks old ) are already settled in the vastopen air tunnels.

When this phase is finished it willstart the insertion of subject groups into theoriginal cradle land: The Chianti.
